The beginning of the academic year 2019 – 2020 was marked for undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Environmental Protection of PNRPU with a series of lectures by foreign professors. Serbian guests from the Department of Environmental Engineering of the University of Novi Sad — Doctor of Sciences Nemanja Stanisavljevich and Doctor of Sciences Boyan Batinic visited Russia for the first time.
The lectures delivered by Dr. Stanisavljevich and Dr. Batinic from September 9 to 11, were devoted to three topics:
- Municipal solid waste management system in Serbia;
- The use of material flow analysis on the example of plastic waste;
- Smart MSW management systems.
Students and lecturers of the Department of Environmental Protection, more than 50 people in total attended the lectures. Speakers were asked a lot of questions, and sometimes due to lengthy discussions, the planned time of lectures increased by an hour or more.
Collaboration between the Department of Environmental Protection of PNRPU and the Department of Environmental Engineering of the University of Novi Sad is being cionducted within the framework of a joint scientific project "Development of a Smart Collection System for Secondary Raw Materials" implemented by an international research group of scientists.
Serbian guests first came to our country, so Russian colleagues showed them the main attractions of Perm, introduced them to Russian cuisine, and together visited the art gallery, where the exhibition “Treasures of Russian Museums” was held at that time. Serbian colleagues were pleased with the visit and Perm hospitality.
