Besides the foreign experts, the conference was attended by teachers and students of PNRPU, as well as representatives from more than 15 cities of Russia (Miass, Moscow, Ufa, Irkutsk, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Nizhny Tagil, etc.), dealing with the design of MSW and industrial waste landfills, urban sanitation and waste treatment technologies.

     During the conference, the speakers spoke about the theory and practice of conducting research on the composition and properties of MSW; Modern technologies for collecting, transporting, sorting and recycling MSW; Design, construction and operation of landfills; Reclamation and post-maintenance of MSW disposal facilities.

     Conference participants visited the new PNRPU Complex of Profound Optical-Mechanical Sorting of Waste and Materials’ Streams, got acquainted with its modern equipment.

     Workshops of our European colleagues became valuable and informative for students and young scientists of the Department of Environmental Protection.
