On the first day of the conference, guests from Germany, Austria and various cities of Russia spoke at the plenary session. The issues of waste management, waste treatment technologies, as well as the results of researches conducted by scientists from Russian and foreign universities, the achievements of business structures and the problems of municipalities in the field of operation and conservation of municipal solid waste landfills have been discussed. The surprise of the first day of the conference for the guests of PNRPU was the performance of a creative team of the Perm Polytechnic University — Folklore-Ethnographic Studio "Radolnitsa", dedicated to Russian traditions.

     On the second day of the conference, all the reports were divided into four sessions, with the following issues discussed: Innovations in waste recycling; Modern approaches in the design, construction and operation of MSW landfills; Environmental education, formation of environmental image of enterprises, green economy; Role of young researchers in waste management. None of the speakers went unheeded: after each report interesting questions were asked, there were active discussions. Also, it is significant that the conference was attended by schoolchildren from the cities of the Perm Territory: Solikamsk and Lysva. They shared the results of environmental activities conducted in the framework of the "Save Resources" project.
